Computer-based message systems fail today on many fronts. Since they cannot
grasp the English content of messages, they can offer neither smart routing services
nor make intelligent, personalized decisions that assist management of messages by
receivers.
Email and call centers may be stuck with this limit. C4ISR networks can escape it,
as they control both ends of the pipe. Here in two parts is the best solution,
urgently needed for our optimal national defense:
Trick #1: First understand each message in the context of its sender by
mapping its meaning into a WORDS chart written in a dialect of XML. This
format is easy to compress and transmit, but at need it can also be processed as
metadata by any competent IT coder.
Trick #2: Understand each message again in the context of the receiver.
This links it into a similar semantic environment, often built up from prior messages to
related users or groups. WORDS charts make this fairly easy, as each is just
XML metadata modeling the topics of its message.
Lexikos seeks corporate partners for a 2-year effort to refine, deploy and commercialize
tools for this promising new C4ISR approach. The quad-chart linked under the page
header gives an overview. For further details, see this good
review by NASA of our design, which a nearby white paper explains.
A partner will manage sales, consulting, and customer service for one specific
application and focus on optimizing the receiver-based environment. Lexikos
will use its general expertise and toolkits in English
text analysis to manage the sender-based production of charts.
If such a division of effort sounds sensible, please
email us to discuss your application and explore how adding our linguistic
tools and lexicons can enhance its global success.
