Craig is at work on Java-based meeting registration code. To facilitate that and MaineJug generally, he established a CVS repository at sourceforge for our use. See him for more details on both these efforts.

Jason has published a first version of his survey web app, and now wants to arrange shared login support among MJP's web apps to move further. That indeed seems a common problem, challenging and well worth solving.

I have installed JSTL, and used it to publish two prototypes of a reporter for David's Jug topic polls, able to take suggestions and requests on-line. I'm seeking design feedback, so please try them out. And ask me about JSTL bugs.

Help Wanted

Single Sign-On Support - We have a rough spec, and most of the needed code already works. We need somebody to finalize/improve the design, then implement, debug, and document it. Challenge: can this be added with only one JSP per host site?

File Uploader and Other Utilities - Install and customize a download from Servlets.com that (among other nice things) lets every MJP volunteer post new JSPs (etc.) into their project folder at will, making on-line tests and integration far easier.

Several defined MaineJug projects already exist, every one of which now moves too slowly and needs your help and energy, plus interested corporate sponsors. Scan the list, pick one of interest, and offer to help out (and learn). Q/A of the current project code or plans would be terrific, or just pick a task of your own and run with it.
