On this page,
subscribers can
fine-tune support objects to control Research
Agents maintaining virtual libraries of PubMed
abstracts and related resources.
This preview release introduces basic support objects which Agents need. With a
little guidance and practice, users should be able to define or enhance
instances of the first two types in just seconds:
|
1) IMPORTERS of recent news
published in
your interest area
Cast as
recurring queries to PubMed or other
data sources, they help Agents
notice new resources to analyze and index. Most run overnight, seeking new information added
the
prior day
|
2) MONITORS
of specific conceptual topics in each interest area
Advanced
queries citing various patterns of concepts can highlight abstracts
that refer to them and filter out weaker matches. They classify
news by
topic, so search and ALERT results
can be more easily
navigated.
|
3) CONSTRAINTS guide rules about reacting to news items
Cast into
if-then filters, these further boost ALERT precision with logical
and
linguistic tests. Results that pass go to
web services, data bases, work flow engines and/or humans for final
processing

Lexikos
seeks sponsors for digital Research Agents built by
professional users expert
in specific
realms of PubMed's technical abstract space. A sponsor can also index other resources that relate, such as clinical
trial protocols, ontologies, EHR data, Standards of Care,
etc.
To learn more about how ALERTS can help virtual groups of users track, expand and navigate
these powerful
and perceptive search spaces, both public or
private,

me to schedule a phone demo and a chat answering your questions.
