Google-based Searches
Goal A: Enhance the full-text searching capabilities of
the site provided by the Google search engine, and seek ways
to push member booths higher in the search results page.
This goal directly supports the promotional nature of VTS, but
it can also become a kind of high-tech game, not unlike
king of the mountain. (Try your own full name in
WWW, and see where you place. Then try to raise it.)
Goal B: Use the free tools Google is
providing to develop a customized Java search agent for
web pages on selected topic(s), such as Special Interests.
