Email Notification of News
Maynard Curtis has worked out an e-mail notification utility for News postings, User registrations, and similar
on-line events. The goal of this project is to make email
an available utility (package, JSP, web service, custom tag,
WAR, whatever ??), which can be easily called to assist in (e.g):
- user registration feedback
- sending forgotten passwords
- posted projects news
- posted guestbook entries
- meeting reminders
- results of surveys
The combination of posted records and email reportsis potentially very powerful. It can functionally emulate Yahoo-Groups style web forums, and/or offerways of sending emails to many distinct groups.
