JUG Meeting Topics
The topic questionaires we pass out in MaineJug meetings could
probably be better handled on the web. For one thing, this would
give those people who could not attend a way to vote. Another
reason could be posting more detail up about specific topics
(e.g. links to related resources), and soliciting more member
discussion about new options and possible speakers.
This project is now finalizing code to help, based on easily
replaced JSP code modules and XML data files. We invite you to
try them out and help us make decisions on its future via email
and discussion at the January JUG meeting. As of 01/19/04 it runs
in the separate /exhibit/ area under its own branding and a more
public security system:
While each poll on topics is on-going, a visitor can check here
to see the tally as it grows, and if logged in, check his/her
most recent vote(s), if any, which are in red. Newly suggested topics are also shown.
To cast your vote or make suggestions on topics, you must be
logged in under a registered personal password. To get such
a password, simply click [Register] in the header of this page,
enter one you like and can easily remember, then go BACK
until you return here.
